Families-and-Parenting

The Family, Parenting, and Media Work Group is a collection of researchers in the fields of psychology, pediatrics, sociology, education, and communications who have focused their work on how digital media is used by families, affects family dynamics, and is shaped by parenting and other family influences. Our aim is to synthesize the literature about digital media use and parent-child interaction, family relationships, parent mediation practices, parenting style, family routines, and the larger family culture, and identify the most pressing research gaps and policy implications of these findings.
